We are in the process of moving and while there is much excitement from the kids for the end result (living in a house with a yard) the process can be a bit tiring for everyone. To help in my quest for well-behaved children this week I’ve given them a couple rewards from Peaceable Kingdom.
Reward #1 was a Glowing Fairies Sticker Activity Poster Book :: Instead of a traditional sticker book the Glowing Fairies Sticker Activity Poster Book actually is a poster that kids get to decorate with GLOW IN THE DARK stickers! (that really do glow!)
Before we started on the poster I told my girls to use their imaginations to help tell a story with the overall picture. They had a blast picking out which stickers to place where on the poster, although they still are struggling with the “tell a story” concept. Everyone who has stopped over has been treated to a viewing of the completed project with 5-year-old Miss M then launching into a story about what’s going on with her fairy stickers. HA!
If you have a little boy (or just an alien lover) check out the Alien Attack! Sticker Activity Poster Book with 3D! How cool is that?!?
Reward #2 was a Buzz! Cooperative Board Game :: at the end of the day (when we play board games) running the risk of one child taunting the other over winners and losers just isn’t worth it, which is why we love to play Cooperative Board Games with our girls. They cheer for each other’s successes and both experience the same disappointments because either everyone wins or everyone loses.
I love that the game is simple enough for the girls to play on their own and that Buzz! teaches them to strategize their game play. Plus with games able to be played very quickly (about 15 minutes) this is a great way to involve younger kids in Family Game Night!
