get caught reading with mercer mayer and little critter :: review and giveaway

disclaimer giveaway

Silver Dolphin logoDid you know that May is the American Association of Publisher’s (AAP) Get Caught Reading Month? For the first time ever Mercer Mayer and Little Critter are participating in the  “Get Caught Reading” celebrity poster campaign.

Mercer Mayer Gets Caught Reading with Little Critter posterThe Get Caught Reading promotion is meant to inspire people of all ages to read and I know that Mercer Mayer and Little Critter are sure to inspire some of the little readers here in my house.

The cool part about this promotion is that the AAP offers the posters for free to teachers and parents for use in classrooms, as well as libraries and other locations throughout the country.  All they ask is that you pay the $5.o0 shipping & handling for each set (a set being between 1 and 12 posters of your choice).  For more details and to place an order click HERE.

Little Critter dollTo help promote the fun poster of Mercer Mayer ‘caught reading’ with his famous friend Little Critter the folks at Silver Dolphin Books have teamed up with MerryMakers, Inc. to offer our readers a fun giveaway.  This is the first time EVER that Little Critter has been available as a doll and I know my girls can’t wait to have one of their very own.

By the way, did anyone notice that the book Mercer Mayer and Little Critter are reading in the poster is Little Critter’s The Trip, which was chosen to celebrate the print edition’s transition into Silver Dolphin Books award-winning app, The Trip – Little Critter Reading Adventure .  This app may sound familiar as I just shared it with our readers the other week (review here)!
