I have another awesome kindie band to share with you all! Joanie Leeds and the Nightlights has just released their newest album, Bandwagon.
Joanie has a seriously cool rocker style and a really strong voice, backed by a really great rock band. And her smile is just so contagious!
Bandwagon rocks!I love the banjo in the title track, “Bandwagon” and I totally dig on the song “Nutritious” – it totally grooves and talks about eating healthy fruits and veggies, what’s not to love?! “Helmet” is totally adorable and encourages kids to wear a helmet – love it! I also ADORE the song “Family Tree” – it’s so beautiful, with some really gorgeous harmonies and lovely lyrics. The song “Use Your Words” empowers kids to speak up for themselves – totally awesome! “Canon song” is a song in the round that is just lovely and you might recognize the song “Falling” from when I shared its free download last year – I still love it! “Bed” is really catchy, and “Nightlights” is totally rad. Seriously, I really do dig every song on this album!
Starting on June 2nd and building up to the release date of the new album on June 25, Joanie will release 14 music videos of the songs from Bandwagon. Every other day throughout the month of June, a new video will be posted on Joanie’s YouTube channel. I’m looking forward to seeing the video for “Family Tree.” The series started off with “I Love NY” – check it out!
If that didn’t make you want to visit the Big Apple, I don’t know what would LOL! That was so great!
Every family who loves music needs to add Bandwagon to their summer playlist! I am 100% into this album!
Also, head over to Joanie’s website and let your kiddos play a little tune using the icons at the top of the home page – each makes a sound from a musical instrument when you hover over it! Fun!

June 6, 2013 at 12:27 pmI learned that they have a Gig at the Eric Carle Museum in Amherst, MA on September 28th which is unfortunately 2 weeks after we will be in the area but it would have been fun to go to a kids concert.
