With a new subscription based company popping onto the scene nearly every week, it almost seems like there is a “box” out there for everyone. Well, nerds and geeks, get ready! Because I have the perfect box for you!!
When I first came across NerdBlock.com, I was instantly excited! While I’m not hardcore Comic Con and I couldn’t tell you the name of more than 4 characters in Star Wars, I do have a geeky/nerdy side that I love. And Nerd Block feeds right into that!
Before we open the boxes together, I want to tell you a few things that first drove me to try NerdBlock.
1. Nerd Blocks for everyone!
The team at Nerd Block recognizes that there are a variety of nerds out there. The classic nerd. The junior nerd. The horror nerd. And the video gaming nerd. Nerd Block has created a monthly box of products tailored toward each of those! The Nerd Block Jr. boxes, tailored toward kids 6 – 11, even come in girls or boys boxes. Now, before you go all “girls & boys are the same” on me, understand that a lot of the stuff in the Jr. boxes are the same between the girls and boys’ boxes, with just a few varying products.
Also, what I especially loved as a female was that I could actually select a t-shirt size that fits me! {spoiler: each Nerd Block (except the Jr.) comes with a t-shirt} No more oversized men’s t-shirts that get tossed in the bottom of a drawer somewhere. When signing up you are able to select from unisex, youth, fitted mens and fitted women’s sizes. Awesome!
2. Subscription plans that work.
If you’re looking to just try out the boxes on a one time basis, you can simply sign up for that month’s box. Like it? Select next month’s box. You can keep doing this as long as you like. No need to sign up for a whole year. This is pretty cool since there are different types of boxes and you may want to try out the Horror Block one month and the Arcade Block the next. Or if you want to get this month’s Block for you and next month’s Block for your hubby.
Of course, as you become addicted to Nerd Block, you’ll want to sign up for longer subscription plans. The longer you subscribe for, the more savings you get. Monthly blocks are $19.99, 3 months for $17.99 per month, 6 months for $16.99 per month, and 12 months for $15.99 per month. Jr. Blocks are slightly cheaper (no t-shirt), starting out at $13.99 for the monthly method.
Ok, time to show you what’s in these boxes!
February Nerd Block Classic ::
Included in this month’s block (and this is a pretty typical load): Exclusive Nerd Block T-shirt featuring the Flashsicle, exlucive Titan vinyl figure Saul from Breaking Bad (perfect as the new spin-off Better Call Saul has started), Drum Notepad with drumstick-esque pencils, Cliccors, Star Wars Comic, and Nerd Play trading cards.
Of course my husband has already laid claim on my Saul vinyl figure and the Drum Pad (dang it!) but that t-shirt is all mine! Again, huge benefit in being able to select the size that fits me!!! Also, with the debut of Cliccors, a very fun shape creator toy, Nerd Block is running a cool contest!
February Nerd Block Jr. Girls ::
As excited as I was to open the Classic Block, I was even more excited to open the Jr. Block! Inside we found more Cliccors, which is great because these are addicting to play with; a small Kirby plush; a hardcover Wonderland Notebook; a Nerd Block exclusive Imps and Monsters coloring book/activity book, and a Disney FROZEN Elsa figurine.
Each of the kids instantly laid claim on something from the block. And not one item was left sitting in the box. I would dare say that is a good sign! Again, Nerd Block Jr. starts out at $13.99 and, after seeing what’s in the box, I would say it’s totally worth it!
I was definitely impressed with the thought and creativity that goes into selecting items perfect for each Nerd Block and I do believe my family is hooked! Looks like we’re signing up for our first ever subscription based delivery!!

February 24, 2015 at 12:27 pmOh man… I don’t have any subscription boxes, but I just might have to try this one. We’re pretty nerdy around here (thought my husband prefers the term “geeky”) and I’m sure we’d have a blast with a box like this! I seriously love that our entire family would enjoy it. Decent price, too! Thanks for sharing!
