american premium meats

Are you aware of what is in your meat?  I am becoming more and more aware of what is in food.  I want to know what I am putting in my body and in my family.  Getting info from a good friend and researching, I have found that the best place to get meats is from a farm.  When American Premium meats contacted me and after researching their site, I was happy to try their meats.american premium meats pork

At American Premium Meats, we believe nature’s way is the only way. We raise beef, pork, and lamb without the use of hormones, steroids, or artificial growth stimulants.  I was happy to find that this was the case at this farm.  I do not want all those additives in my meats.  Who needs all that?

I received a 10lb bundle of pork products.  It consisted of Pork Chops, Pork Steaks, Sausage, Pork Patties and Bacon.  I couldn’t wait to cook it up.  We don’t eat pork too often but I do love me some bacon.  My bf liked the pork chops and the pork patties.  It all tasted very good.  My favorite, of course, was the bacon.  We cook our bacon in the oven and this cooked up so well, it was fantastic tasting.

Not only what is in the meat but what the animal eats is important.  We grow corn, milo, wheat, and soybeans, plus we raise hogs, cattle, and sheep on our family farm. The corn and milo is used as livestock feed. We do not buy any feed grain that is not raised on our farm to feed our animals. Soybeans and wheat are sold as a cash crop, and the straw from the wheat is use as bedding for our livestock.

What is also great about american premium meats is that even though they are not local they ship all over.  It is all packed well and still frozen when you receive it.
