For all the hundreds of recipes I’ve found online, I can count on one hand the recipes I’ve gone back to print or write down to actually make. We won’t even get me started on the dangers of trying to read recipes from smartphones. (I shudder just imagining the possibilities!)
My new kitchen BFF is my Key Ingredient Recipe Reader. This thing is awesome.
First of all, if you’ve never heard of KeyIngredient.comyou need to go visit and sign yourself up for a free account. You can browse without an account, but you’ll need an account to save and manage the recipes you like. While I can wax poetic on how fantastic a KeyIngredient.com account is you really just need to watch the below video.
1) I can save ANY recipe I find online onto my Key Ingredient account and ACTUALLY access the info from my kitchen! Sometimes it takes a little effort on my part to add in new recipes, but it’s totally worth it!
2) Even if I spill, the Recipe Reader has a sealed glass front and my clumsy messes wipe right off!
3) There’s millions of other recipes to browse and I can add them from my computer, my Recipe Reader, or even my iPhone app.
The recipe reader also has timers, conversions, substitutions, a screen that rotates automatically, a built in stand, and works using any WiFi connection. There is also a Short List feature that lets you manage multiple recipes at a single touch when you’re doing a lot of things in the kitchen at once (hello Thanksgiving dinner)!
Personally I think that all the cooks in your life would appreciate finding the Key Ingredient Recipe Reader under the tree this year! My family has been enjoying the tasty recipes I’ve been trying out on them thanks to Key Ingredient and my new Recipe Reader, like the Pumpkin White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies pictured above. Mmmm…
