I jumped into using essential oils after attending a few events where people spoke about how they have used the oils to improve their life. I even “attended” a week long online summit (not affiliated with any one oil brand) to really learn more ways to utilize oils around my house and life. Eventually I said, why not, and placed an order. And it wasn’t until I started using them myself that I really got it!
But when the topic of essential oils comes up amongst my friends who aren’t using essential oils, they typically have two reasons why they don’t use them:
- They really aren’t sure how to utilize them.
- They do not want to purchase a big starter kit full of oils they seemingly will never use (thus wasting the oils and their money).
That second one is usually the biggest hurdle. And with good reason. The last thing we want to do is purchase items on a whim and have them sit in some cupboard somewhere; eventually tossing them in the garbage because they have either gone bad or we’re just sick of them talking up space.
But the days of having to purchase those expensive starter kits to get started with essential oils have gone. Now there are ways for you to get started or experience essential oils without busting your budget or purchasing oils you’ll never use.
GuruNanda (I’ve shared about them before when I told you guys about oil pulling) has created these really great, simple aromatherapy kits featuring a diffuser and a single bottle of essential oil. This kit featuring one of my absolute favorite oils, peppermint, is currently available on Walgreens just in time for Mother’s Day!
Aromatherapy is just one way to use essential oils and is probably the easiest way! You simply add some water and a few drops of the essential oil to the diffuser and the diffuser disperses the oil into the air through a mist. About three hours later or when the water runs out, the GuruNanda diffuser turns itself off.
Aromatherapy is one of those practices that have been used for centuries. I guarantee you’ve already experienced aromatherapy and didn’t even know it! Aside from Spas, every day businesses use aromatherapy to help their customers relax or feel more joyful or energized — hospitals, doctor offices, dental offices, banks, shops, boutiques, etc.
And what mom wouldn’t want a little help relaxing or feeling a little extra joy or being a little more energized?
The GuruNanda Mother’s Day Aromatherapy Starter Kit at Walgreens is the perfect way to introduce you or the mom in your life to essential oils and aromatherapy. Priced at just $29.99, you get this lovely little dome shaped ultrasonic diffuser with a color changing light and a 15ml bottle of Peppermint essential oil. Peppermint is know for its invigorating and refreshing effects. It’s a great way to help boost your energy throughout the day. And it just smells great in a room. Again, it is one of my favorite oils!
Because each time you use the GuruNanda diffuser you’re only using a few drops of the essential oil, the 15ml bottle of Peppermint will go a long way. But, if you get hooked (like me), you can always purchase individual bottles of GuruNanda essential oil. Or maybe you want to switch it up and try a different oil. Lavender is another one of my favs and a fabulous one for relaxing!
The really cool thing about this specific kit is that you can just stop by your local Walgreens to pick it up. No signing up with a specific brand or buying into a monthly subscription or anything! It’s just that easy. And, while you’re there, grab a card, gift bag and some tissue paper and your Mother’s Day shopping is D-O-N-E! So easy!
You can also find another GuruNanda Mother’s Day Aromatherapy Starter Kit at Walmart. This one includes their tower shaped diffuser and a bottle of GuruNanda’s “Relaxation” blend.
If you do end up snagging yourself one of these great Aromatherapy Kits from GuruNanda, I’d love to hear what you think!
What essential oils are you using? Do you have a favorite single oil or maybe a blend of a few different oils? Or, if you have any questions about getting started or need other oil recommendations, let me know! I’d be happy to help!!
