If you’re a fellow s’mores lover I have a fun new Gooey S’Mores Cereal Bars recipe to share with you! Not only is this a wonderful combination of graham, chocolate, and marshmallow, it uses some of our favorite General Mills cereals that we have stocked in the pantry. Plus, you can involve the kids in creating this quick and easy to make no-bake treat.
Now, when I created this recipe I was pretty heavy handed in some of the mix in ingredients. If you like a less gooey texture or are not sure about 5 bars of chocolate (kids got rather enthusiastic when opening those for me!) go ahead use less of that ingredient, the bars will still turn out delicious!
Ingredients ::
- 6 cups Golden Grahams Cereal
- 4 cups Cocoa Puffs Cereal
- 10 cups mini marshmallows (an entire 16 oz package)
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 5 milk chocolate bars broken into bit size pieces
- 5 Tbsp butter
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- Melt butter in a large stock pot over medium heat. Once melted, add 10 cups mini-marshmallows and stir continually until they too are thoroughly melted. Mix in sea salt. Remove from heat.
- Add Golden Grahams and Cocoa Puffs cereals to the marshmallow mixture and stir until completely coated. Add in 2 cups mini marshmallows and chocolate bar pieces and mix well.
- Pour entire mixture into a 9×13 pan or container. Spread with spatula and once cool enough to touch use a plastic bag on your hand to spread out the mixture and press down into the pan.
- Let cool and then cut into bars.
What’s your favorite way to enjoy the sweet s’mores combination?
