goverre :: spillproof, portable wine glasses

goverrelogoIn our house, wine can be enjoyed in one place–at the kitchen table. With young children running around, more likely than not, a glass of wine will end up the victim of an errant ball, a pillow fight or a remote-control helicopter. Wine and carpet don’t mix, but curling up with a good book and a glass of wine at the kitchen table just isn’t that appealing, either.  Enter the Goverre portable wine glass with a drink-through lid.

011I’m sure you’ve seen portable wine glasses before, but there are two main things that make Goverre different.  The first difference is that Goverre glasses are made of glass! The thicker glass makes Goverre more durable than a typical wine glass. And the silicone sleeve adds an extra element of durability and a no-slip grip–plus it’s just really cute. I love the bright color options and the houndstooth pattern.  Plus getting several colors of Goverre will make it super easy to keep wine glasses straight.  I can’t bring myself to drink wine out of plastic, so those plastic portable wine glasses have never been appealing to me.  I can always taste the plastic–which ruins any good drink.

goverrepicnicThe next difference is the drink-through lid. This is the life saver for me. I can have a glass of wine, or any drink, in this glass and keep the lid on while I drink. So the errant ball that heads my way might knock over the glass, but Goverre isn’t likely to break and will only spill a trickle through the lid–if at all. Disaster averted.

Of course, Goverre is a great option for bringing up to 17 ounces of your favorite drink on the go–I see this as a perfect accessory for summertime picnics, neighborhood gatherings and beach trips. But I think I’ll be using the glass even more sitting in front of the fireplace at home!

I love that these are made of glass, I don’t think I could drink wine from a plastic cup either!
