What do your kids eat for breakfast? We have tried to keep things healthy in our house, but those colorful boxes in the cereal aisle always catch my kids’ eye. Recently, a few of them have snuck their way into our breakfast routine (thanks to those fun shopping trips with Dad). Well, Barbara’s has a healthy but delicious alternative that both you and your kids are sure to love. We got to try Barbara’s Original Puffins and Barbara’s Organic Vanilla Blast Snackimals.
Barbara’s Original Puffins are crunchy and delicious, with a slightly sweet flavor for the more refined palate. They are low in fat and sugar and contain 5g of fiber per serving. That being said, they may not resonate with the younger set like the Barbara’s Organic Vanilla Blast Snackimals. Can I just say YUM?!? My kids love these as a breakfast treat or as a snack and to be honest, I have been known to pop a few in my mouth as a little pick me up as well. They, too, pack a good crunch, and are even shaped like little animals for that extra fun factor. To my kids, they taste like healthy marshmallows. To me, they taste like a crunchy version of a Starbucks Vanilla Latte, something we could all use a little of in the morning. Plus, this tasty cereal boasts 8g of whole grains and only 7g of sugar per serving. And their commitment to the non-GMO project is one we can all smile about.
