As a family, we do our best to eat healthy. We eat our fruits and vegetables at meals, try to incorporate them into snacks, and do our best to avoid an overload of sugary sweets. The hardest time for us to do this is on the go. I try to bring healthy snacks for my little guy when we are running errands or taking a road trip, but so many times the easiest snacks to grab aren’t always the healthiest.
I came across Bitsy’s Brainfood and love not only that the ingredients in their snacks are healthy, but they also are snacks that my little one LOVES! He has been enjoying both the Sweet Potato Oatmeal Raisin and Orange Chocolate Beet cookies over the last several weeks! They have been a huge hit, not only because of the taste, but he loves the letter shapes. He has a big interest in letters at this stage of life, although right now all letters are either Y, D or C to him. He loves pulling the letters out of the bag and saying which one he thinks it is, and I love another opportunity to help him learn.
Some of the other great foods they carry are Green Berry Blast cereals and Zucchini Gingerbread Carrot cookies.
Each of their products contain ingredients that are carefully selected for taste and health. The company was founded by two moms who were on a quest to find healthy snacks for their own children. They realized that the healthy food aisle didn’t contain food that was interesting to their kids, and the interesting foods weren’t always healthy. They decided to create something that linked healthy minds and healthy bodies. Bitsy’s Brainfood now is sold in many stores and is a brand that both parents and kids will love!
My little guy has loved his Spooky Snacks , which will also make great treats for all things Halloween next week, and we look forward to trying the cereals and other cookies as well!
