I received this fun dress from prAna, the Lindy dress. It comes in a handful of colors, but I chose the blue because that’s typically a good color for my skin tone. Isn’t it funny how we stick with what works? It makes online shopping easier when we know what colors work.
lindy dress from prAna // cardi from kohl’s (similar) // earrings from nickel & suede // cross necklace from charming charlie // boots from naturalizer
I popped this dress on the other day, and love it. The fabric is soft and it really flows nice when I’m moving around. It is made from 100% recycled materials, so that’s a bonus. The sleeves, which I didn’t show you (what was I thinking?!?!) are a longer short sleeve…I think they are a very flattering length. Not too short and not too long. The dress is not a fitted dress, something else I really like!
The waist has the tie waste which I’m typically not a fan of. I don’t like anything accentuating my stomach. After having four babies, that’s the last place that needs attention, if ya feel me. Ha! But, this one is different. I like the pattern, and I really think that takes away from the drawstring waist.
I threw on layers to make this great dress work for the snow covered grounds here in Michigan. Once can’t ever go wrong with a boyfriend cardigan. Except, this one isn’t so “boyfriend” any more. We had a dryer casualty…but I’m trying to make it still work. Eek! Have you ever done that? Had something go through the whole dryer cycle when it wasn’t supposed to be in there at all. SADNESS!! I’m going to make this work the best I can though, I love the color since it can go with so much! I added the boot socks as well for some additional warmth.
Some further details, the neckline is great for a nice, dainty necklace. I skipped most of my accessories for this outfit, I don’t know why. I have my earrings…I always have earrings. Ha! The dress length is perfect too. I’m 5’6″ and have on a medium. Honestly though, I could have probably taken a small, although I don’t know how that would affect the length. Either way, I’m happy with this one for now! Once I lose weight, it’ll be too big, but then I DESERVE another one. Right?!?!
Pop over and get your shopping on. prAna is having their huge “garage sale” which means they are having awesome deals. Take for example the dress I shared with you today. It retails for $79 and you can get it on sale for $27.65! WHAT!!
What do you think of prAna? Are you a fan of the dress I shared today? What else do you like from them? Share with me, I love to know what YOU ALL like!!

January 20, 2016 at 4:44 amI think the dress looks nice on you. I don’t normally like pieces that accentuate my stomach either but you’re right when you say that dress doesn’t draw attention to the midline.
