how to wear a blazer with jeans for #WorkwearWednesday + blogger collaboration

OMWord – spring. It’s almost here. The other day the sun was out and there were chirping birds in the tree next to our house. If that doesn’t give you spring fever, I don’t know what else will! With spring weather, comes spring clothes and I am PUMPED about this, and my closet is happily awaiting the transition from big and bulky sweaters to frilly, lightweight tops and colorful arrangements!

I have this thing for blazers too. If you recall, I shared a lovely blazer from Chadwicks of Boston back in the fall. SO FUN! Well, they sent me one for spring when I was in New York last week at Toy Fair. I couldn’t wait to open the package and check it out. I loved it online and had ideas of what I could do with it once it was in my hands.  My girl Carly, over at Thirty Something Fashion put together a Workwear Wednesday post with the subject of jeans for work, PERFECT COMBO!! So, my take on the Stretch Twill Blazer from Chadwicks of Boston is something you can wear to work, at home, on date night…so.many.options. What I love about this? Comfort. Seriously! Also, it comes in four different colors. And, machine washable. Not dry clean only, praise!!

One tip I wanted to be sure to point out is accessories. Have you noticed that by adding accessories can take any outfit to the next level? I mean, who would have thought you could wear jeans to work. In my opinion, jeans definitely can be not dressy enough for work, but add some heels and some fabulous accessories and there.you.go. Take the accessories up a notch!

And last, if you aren’t a heels gal, try your blazer with some cute flats! I love to pattern mix, so I picked my comfortable and cute leopard flats Ja-Vie as I thought they were a primo choice for this outfit. I ended up wearing that the rest of the day!
