I don’t know about you, but SUMMER IS ON MY MIND!! What a wonderful weekend we had for weather here in Michigan…combined with Memorial Day, couldn’t be better. We sat with our family and some close friends, talked about life, family members who aren’t with us any more and dreams about the future. All in all, it was wonderful.

So, this wonderful weather has be summer dreamin’. Date nights by the lake, family days on the beach, four-wheelin’ at my parents…anything outdoors. Basically, that is how we spend our summers.

A little while back I shared Tecovas with you in a post. Since then, I’ve shared different ways I’m wearing the short cowboy boots from Tecovas on our social channels, mainly Facebook and Instagram. They are absolutely amazing, so I was jacked about the opportunity to check out the full size boots. When I was younger, I had quite a few pairs that served their purpose WELL. So much fun! Now that I’m older, I like to invest into items that I know will last a long time, and still be around in the years to come. That is what Tecovas are to me. Erin and I decided to style some tall cowboy boots in summer outfit ways. It’s getting hot over here, so summer fashion is definitely on my mind.

We thought it would be fun to show you how we view style from two different perspectives – a girl mom and a boy mom. A simple solution to adding cowboy boots in a summer look is to wear them with a fun summer dress. Be it strappy, cap sleeves, sleeveless…..cowboy boots are a FUN addition to that outfit. I chose a short dress, but I’ve seen these in really cute ways when worn with long dresses as well as a midi-dress.

Second, shorts!! We’ve all seen the adorable, skinny models sporting their cowboy boots and plaid, but how about us average ladies? Can we look as cute? Sure we can! Own what you wear ladies and rock every step. The short outfit I’m sharing is something I would throw on to run around town in. The shirt is flowy and very forgiving and the boots…so comfortable with every step!
