how to wear flares in 2015 + looks from other bloggers

Did you hear? The new fashion thing to do is bring out the flares. Remember these from a few years back? Well, for those of you that still have these in your closet, PULL THOSE BABIES OUT! There were some flare jeans that I had and simply loved. When they kind of “went away” I just couldn’t get rid of them. And now, for the amount of money I have invested in to the pants, I’m SO glad I didn’t. Funny, right?
DSC_0075 (1)Well, I wanted to share a few things that the fashion-forward folks are doing these days. While you can probably pull some from your closet, if you are like me, I wanted to know what was happening with all the cool people. Ya feel me? I didn’t want to be one of those gals who was on the “What Not To Wear” side of things. Easy flare pants looks for Fall 2015Hem those flares.
The idea behind flares is to make sure they are fit right and the length is right. When you purchase them, take them to your seamstress with an average size heel that you wear so that you are guaranteed to have a correct fit. Nothing like seeing fabulous flares all tattered at the bottom. They look awesome with chunky heels, chunky sandals, pumps, wedges. You get the point. You can pull them off with flats, but then the rules get trickier. 😉 hemmed flaresDirect link to pin HERE.

Flares with a simple top.
Tuck the front of the top in to make it appear a little more casual. Pop some color on with the accessories and shoes. I LURV One Little Momma, she is a fab blogger with a great fashion sense for us busy moms. Plus, she’s stinkin adorable! (And she makes AMAZE-balls jewelry. Just sayin’…) simple top and flaresGo to her blog. Trust me…you can read more about this look and others HERE.

Flares with a bulky sweater.
Fit those flairs well and then add a chunky sweater on top. It evens out real nice. flares and chunky sweaterPin from this image found HERE so you can investigate.

Distressed flares.
Again, because this just looks plain cool. I would wear something like this to school pick up. Well, minus the heels. I’d put some boots or pumps on with this. But, can we pause for a moment and swoon over how COOL these pants are… distressed flare lookDirect link to pin HERE.

Seems I no more than get kids in one style then they change. Last year, they would only wear straight legs. Now I can hear them saying they need some like this to be in style. Hard to keep up!

If someone had asked me if these would ever come back I would have to have answered no with my fingers crossed. They look fabulous on all of the tall models here. But I just didn’t find them flattering on me as I am very height challenged.
