We have small bathrooms in our home and 5 of us are sharing two tight spaces. You may recall when we updated our main bathroom in THIS post. Having a vanity with drawers was a wonderful addition to that bathroom. It was time to focus on our other bathroom which is even smaller!
My daughter and I share our other bathroom and we were always on top of each other trying to get ready in the morning. As she gets taller, we can’t even share the mirror. I got the idea to add a second mirror, but I was troubled about the storage we would lose since we had shelves.
Never fear, Ikea has a solution for just about any storage dilemma you may have. Sometimes you simply need to peruse the store. I thought I was looking for two mirrors and what I found was so much better. I was pleasantaly surprised by how many options there were. Mirrors + storage is magical!
Don’t forget to stop and eat Swedish meatballs and almond cake. My mom was visiting me in California and it’s our special thing to fit in an Ikea day. We met my BFF and had such a fun girl day.

I’m not sure if I’m more in love with the storage inside or how clean and neat our bathroom feels now. I do have one tip: if the mirror is over your sink, make sure you hang it high enough for soap dispensers to fit underneath. We had a light fixture that we had to work around, but we may replace it and hang our mirror a smidge higher in the future. See our soap dispenser hanging out on the far right? It works, but it’s a new spot for it to reside. We have to re-train our brains. 🙂
