I absolutely loved watching Mr. Rogers when I was a kid. I haven’t seen the show or heard the music for the better part of 30 years but I can still sing every word. The theme song is permanently embedded in my DNA. “Would you be mine, could you be mine, won’t you be my neighbor?” Ah, childhood memories. Well, Mr. Rogers’ neighborhood (complete with original song) has been brought back to life in Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, featuring O the Owl, Katerina the Kittycat, and of course, Daniel Tiger himself. And what better way to keep the fun going at home than with a toy that can transform into three different play areas? There are so many cool features to this toy that it is hard to mention them all, but one of my favorites is Katerina’s room, which has a mirror and a spot for Katerina to twirl along to a musical tune. 
With 13 removable play pieces, this treehouse will keep your child (or children!) playing and creating for hours. Many of the pieces transform as well: a bookcases doubles as a spaceship, a comfy couch turns into a computer station, and an umbrella quickly becomes a satellite. The slide can be used in each scene and each of the three figures can take turns on the tree swing. And even though the recommended age for this toy is 3 & up, we are giving it to my 1 1/2 year old for Christmas, because I know it she will have just as much fun as my 3 and 6 year-olds (plus then it comes with built-in teachable “sharing” lessons). I just love how this toy allows for my kiddos’ imaginations to soar to new heights. I can see each of them playing with it in their own way and finding new ways to have fun with each scene. My son will love the space station, having long been a fan of Buzz Lightyear, Space Ranger. My eldest daughter is going to have such fun with sweet Katerina Kittycat. I can see her twirling her on her little dance floor over and over again. And my sweet little Madison will probably have to fight her way into the mix (she’s already a tough cookie…she is a third child, after all) but I can just see her giggling as she pushes O the Owl on the swing. With so many fun features, this toy will make the perfect last-minute gift for any family!
