i’ve been walking on a yoga mat, you want to too? :: review

Summer for me is bouncing around from one location to the next, typically carting at least 2-3 children around. I NEED predictable footwear. Lately I have been sporting some very comfortable ones from Sanuk!

I received two pair of Sanuk shoes – the Funky Fiona and the Yoga Slingshot styles. For starters, I was in LOVE with the Funky Fiona as soon as I saw them. The pattern definitely has you at hello! The Yoga Slingshot style on the other hand, had me intrigued! Here are my findings with both pairs…

Let’s start with the bright colored and super fun Funky Fiona shoes. Not only are the fun to look at, they are as comfortable as comfortable can get. The sides are made of a super soft canvas material…they easily slide right on your feet. They aren’t so soft though that the fabric breaks down and doesn’t stay on your foot. I have been wearing these for a couple weeks and there are NO signs of wear to be seen! The “rope-esque” detailing along the bottom is something that stands apart too! They are such a unique shoe. Every time I have worn them, I have received compliments and they always ask where they can get some too. If you want a conversation stopping shoe, this is it!

The Yoga Slingshot sandals are a completely different shoe than the first one mentioned. These are PERFECT for the hot summer months! There is not much to them, and not much to them means, no sweaty feet that rub on your shoes! I suggest wearing them around the house a bit before going out only because they are a little different of a fit. The “sling-shot” part of the shoes (the uppers) are tighter and your feet need to get used to them. Not in a bad way at all, they just need to train your toes and feet a little bit. These have a yoga mat sole, so there is nothing comfier in the world to be walking on!
