See this photo over to the right? That was earlier this summer while I was watching my cousin’s two girls along with my two girls. Four girls all dressed up to play princess pirates. Yeah, you read that right. Princess Pirates.
Seeing as how these girls were inspired by the Princess Pirate from the Jake and the Never Land Pirates show, there was no surprises here when my girls were very excited to play the new Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Shipwreck Beach Treasure Hunt game from Wonder Forge.
The Jake and the Never Land Pirates: Shipwreck Beach Treasure Hunt game is another fun game that we can play with my girls, or they can even play together on their own! The game is pretty simple, all players work together to ‘hide’ the 5 treasure pieces around the house. Then playing a small game of memory match you take turns flipping the doubloons to find a match.
My girls had a ton of fun using the spyglass decoder to determine if their doubloons were a match (honestly, 3-year-old Dani purposely would pick coins she knew needed to be ‘decoded’ with the spyglass just so she could use it). There were also a lot of giggles as they picked up the various treasure pieces from around the house using the foam sword (which looks so realistic my husband asked why there was a wooden sword included in the game – HA!).
For ages 3 and up this game can be played by 2 or more players and is very easy to understand and play. All the game pieces are easily stored in the included treasure map storage bag which means that you can get creative on finding room to store the game in the family game closet (because heaven knows ours is getting rather full).
