I really love that my girls have reached the ages where family game night has become fun for them, and us! In an effort to keep us all having fun we’ve discovered that having a wide variety of a age-appropriate games on hand to choose from is the best strategy to keep us all happy.
With a 5-year-old and a not-quite-3-year-old we are BIG fans of the well made, age-appropriate Preschool Games from Wonder Forge. Another of the newer games added to our family game night selection is Jake and the Never Land Pirates – Who Shook Hook? game.
Even if your kids have never seen the Jake and the Never Land Pirates show on Disney Junior they can appreciate the fun to be had in this game that promotes physical dexterity and thinking skills.
Captain Hook is snoozing in his hammock, surrounded by all the treasure he’s nabbed from Jake and his pirate crew. Spin the spinner to choose your challenge, then use the sword, the fishing pole, or the shovel to pluck a piece of treasure! But steady as she goes–you need to grab the loot without sending Hook tumbling into the water where Tick Tock Croc awaits. This imaginative, play-packed game is sure to be a hit with clever little pirates.
With a little help even Miss D can play along, and both girls enjoy setting up Hook’s Hammock with all his loot just to practice plucking back pieces of treasure. From a mom’s point of view what’s not to love about increased dexterity, cooperative fun, with an immeasurable amounts of giggles?
