I’ve somewhat recently ditched the diaper bag. Now that my youngest is out of diapers, the extras like the changing mat and paci pod were pretty obsolete. But my smaller purse wasn’t meeting my needs either! I might not be lugging diapers and wipes, but I still like to have a few kid-friendly snacks, an epi-pen and a small stash of crayons and paper for in-a-pinch entertainment. Plus I need room for my phone and wallet, a lip balm or two and a stash of lists and coupons. Throw in a water bottle or sippy cup and the bag is now overflowing. And it’s impossible to actually find anything I need.
So I did what any sensible mom would do. I upgraded to Baggallini! Baggallini was designed by two flight attendants who were constantly on the go. They needed to have their essentials at the ready. And after so many questions and compliments, they set off on a different adventure and started designing baggs (yes, it’s spelled that way) with Baggallini. Since Baggallini was designed with travel in mind, their bags are both durable and easy to organize. Most designs have multiple pockets (so I don’t have to dig around to find my phone, wallet or (the worth-its-weight-in-gold) kids snacks.
Not only are Baggallini bags easy to organize, but they are a true form meets function accessory. There are so many styles and sizes as well as lots of color options. There really is something here for everyone. There are travel duffles, crossbody bags, totes, backpacks, slings–you name it! There are great wallets, wristlets and accessory and cosmetic bags as well. And the colors range from a basic black to bright colors to prints like chevron and stripes.
I chose to order The Porter in azul (a great turquoise color–perfect to conjure spring). The Porter is a tall crossbody with a slim profile. It fits everything I need without being super bulky. I love all of the pockets–two pockets on the front that are open for easy access, perfect for my phone. I love that I can keep enough with me that I know I’m covered, but I don’t have the weight and bulk of a huge diaper bag. The crossbody style works great for me–I can keep my things close but still have two free hands. Loving my upgrade! And, just so you know, I can easily fit my phone, a few packs of gum, a full change of clothes for my 3-year-old, my very bulky wallet, an epi-pen and a handful of makeup and still have lots of room left for more!

Having a bag that will fit all the junk I have to carry for the two of us that stays out of my way is key – right now I’m using a canvas shopping bag with my smaller purse inside it (after getting several nasty scrapes on my purse courtesy of the wheelchair wheels. Ooops!)
