Tis the season to be jolly. But for many people it’s also the season for un-ending errands and parties and feeling like you have to go-go-go all the time. Just thinking about an over-crowded schedule stresses me out! When I get stressed, I feel it first in my shoulders. It gets tight and I find myself rolling my neck round and round and round. If I don’t relax and work on getting rid of the tightness, it gets worse and goes up-up-up right to my noggin. And once I get a headache, I keep it – sometimes for days. To help relieve my headaches, I like to squeeze pressure points on my head and/or hands. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. When it doesn’t work, I try to sleep it off or at least cover my eyes with either a cold or warm cloth. Know what’s better than a warm or cold cloth? A warm or cold eye pillow.
The Flax Relax Eye Pillow is the perfect size for working on that headache or sinus pressure. You can make the Flax Relax eye pillow feel cool to the touch by putting it in the freezer or warm by running it through the microwave. The flax seeds hold the heat or cool and add a comforting weight that provides an acupressure effect.
What if it’s not your head that’s aching but your shoulders or belly or legs? Flax Relax also has a Standard Body Wrap that’s longer and more flexible. I’m one of those people who has constantly cold feet in the winter. No matter how many pair of socks I have on or how close I get to the fire.
The other night I popped the Flax Relax Body Wrap in the microwave and wrapped it around my stocking-ed feet and aaahhhhh…my toes were warm! and stayed warm! (My husband is ever-so-grateful because now I can quit squishing my toes underneath him while we’re trying to watch TV). And when my daughter was sick and had a fever a few nights ago I put it in the freezer for a few hours and then let her hold on to it while we cuddled in bed. She’s started calling it her “squishy” but I hate to break it to her: that “squishy” is mine!
