“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kohl’s. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”
This year I have two children going to school. I am still shocked by this. I can’t believe how fast they are growing! One fun thing about them growing up and going to school however, is the back to school shopping. I’ve only been doing this for a couple years now, and this year we have two instead of one, but I still try to make it a little “special” time with mom. I was able to sweep Lilianna away for a few hours one weekend afternoon and spend some one on one time with her shopping, eating and just having fun. We went to our local mall which has many stores, but we stopped at Kohl’s.
In a prior post, I told you all about reasons why I personally choose to shop at Kohl’s. In this post, I am going to show you some “in the store” pictures as well as what we were able to pick up for Lili, my oldest, for some of her back to school fashion choices.
When we walked in, these two items are the first things she saw that she HAD to have. I know that one won’t be worn to school and the other will only be worn for a few weeks, but let me tell you the SALES are in full force right now! The pajama set with the matching 18″ doll outfit was 50% off! I think we paid $14 or $15 for this. If you little one has an 18″ doll as well, you have to check out the matching outfits that Kohl’s has. There were so many pajama sets, but they have regular clothes too. The sandals were around $13. You guys, the sales… 🙂
Now we are on to the actual “school clothes”. Kohl’s does not have a ton of very cold weather clothes out yet, but I did find some layering pieces in addition to 3/4 length choices. I think a lot of these clothes that we picked up will work great for the rest of summer, in to fall and hopefully again in the Spring if she doesn’t grow like a weed 🙂
On to what I spotted int eh store that I wanted to share. Obviously, I was shopping for a girl and showcased a lot of girl options. The boy clothes were on sale just as much as the girl clothes, let me tell you. I just couldn’t obviously show you the choices on my child 🙂 She wouldn’t have that LOL! However, here are a few pictures of items that work for boys and girls…
If you zoom in good, you can see that some of the backpacks are $11.99 to $17.99. Shorts and socks were game on with deals and shoes were on sale as well! We were able to acquire a lot with the $100 that we went in to the store to purchase with. It was crazy! I used a coupon as well that I had received via email to make my savings even greater.
All in all, you can get far with your money at Kohl’s. The selection is immense and no matter teh style of the child you are shopping with/for, I am sure they can find a handful of things they will love at Kohl’s!
It’s a great one-stop-shop….from backpacks, to socks, to undergarments and shoes and clothes. If you want to get it all at one store, Kohl’s is your answer!
