Opening a bag with a mystery toy inside is always a hit. I like to get blind bag toys for birthday gifts for my nieces and nephews. They make great stocking stuffers, party favors, or prize box rewards too.
Whenever we travel I like to hide a toy in the kid’s backpacks. They should know by now to look for it, but I usually have to drop some hints mid-flight that there’s something fun in their bag. I try to pack a few extra blind bag toys and keep my eyes open for an overwhelmed mom that might need a happy distraction for their child.

This series of L.O.L. Surprise toys was a great addition to our bag of tricks to keep the kids occupied on the plane. I also gave some of these toys to my niece who just turned 4 and it was her favorite gift she opened. She forgot about everything else.
