How many of you love the lantern scene from Tangled? There aren’t too many animated movies that have such amazing and moving scenes! How many of you would like to be a part of something like that? I know I would! Every time we see sky lanterns floating through the sky, my family stops to watch them. I love how peaceful they seem floating through the air. And now, the same company that brings you The Dirty Dash, Color Me Rad and Slide the City have come up with another spectacular event–Lantern Fest.
Lantern Fest is the perfect blend of dancing, music, s’mores (my personal favorite outdoor dessert) and, after sunset, lanterns. Each lantern pass you purchase includes entrance to the event, a lantern, marker and lighter and a s’mores kit. You’ll get to be a part of an amazing experience (and probably get some fabulous pictures as well)!
The pictures in the post are from past Lantern Fests to give you an idea of the magnitude of this lantern party! For those of you who are worried about the safety or environmental impact of lanterns, all lanterns used in Lantern Fest are 100% biodegradable AND there are professional lantern chasers to collect the lanterns after the event. Local fire departments are also on hand and, of the 30,000+ lanterns launched at these events nationwide, there has never been an incidence of ground fires.
Wondering if Lantern Fest is coming to a city near you? Check here for the updated list of locations. Tickets are selling out VERY quickly, so you’ll probably want to purchase them right away. And if you use the code SIMPLE2015, our readers 10% off the already reasonable ticket prices!
Have any of you attended Lantern Fest before? I’d love to hear how it went! I can’t wait to take my kids to this super fun event!
