Words can’t describe how excited I was when I found out I was chosen to participate in a review of some new Leapfrog products and share them with some of my girls’ friends in hosting a party. I have been researching them and knew that they were going to be just perfect for the age my kids are right now, specifically Lilianna who is 5. LeapFrog is a name many of us know, however they have new products I hadn’t had a chance to see in person yet. My husband, kids and I opened each item together. I couldn’t believe how excited my husband got too. He was blown away at how cool they were.
We have always loved LeapFrog. They create phenomenal products. But goodness I have a couple to tell you about today. They sent some pretty great things. I will write about each below:
First, the Tag Reading System. Lili loves this because she is on the verge or reading completely on her own. She is able to take the Tag Reading System and follow along with the story. Here, she is noticing “sight” words within the story as well as seeing other words that she obviously heard but now knows what they look like. I was sent the “Learn to Read” book set as well as a “World Map“. Let me tell you, the World Map was a hit here too! Lili is always inquiring about where things are in the world and now I can show her!
Tag is the #1 selling reading system and recommended by 99% of teachers to help kids learn to love reading. Tag brings stories to life with each touch of the interactive Reader to the pages of specially printed storybooks. Words talk, pictures come to life and stories live out loud, engaging children’s senses to make reading a rich, fulfilling experience. Children can use Tag as they begin their own personal learn-to-read journeys, then continue to enjoy it as their skills grow, from hearing an entire story read aloud to seeking help with individual words. With a library of 40+ books, maps and more, children can also take the fun beyond reading with fun play patterns that broaden curriculum experiences such as exploring other cultures, building skills in life science or even learning how to write!
The LeapPad is AMAZING! SERIOUSLY AMAZING! We are an “Apple” family and have lots of their products – so when Lili was able to get a “techy” item of her own, she was pretty excited. I’ll be honest, she hasn’t left the house without this since we opened the package. And listen to this, I’m ashamed to say that I didn’t even teach her how to play/work this. It’s so user friendly that she taught herself. She is 5. She changes the background, plays the games (and there are lots of them) watches movies, takes pictures and videos and on and on…
When we had our party, this item was the hit item. I think the world is so techy now a days, that kids just follow suit. This is a tech item I don’t mind my kid playing often because it is learning and not just games!
LeapPad is the personalized learning tablet just for kids with a built-in camera and video recorder! LeapPad offers limitless learning and endless play through a library of 100+ cartridge games and activities with innovative creativity and reading apps! This tablet is the ultimate combination of high-tech features in a kid-friendly form factor! Touch the screen with a finger, tap it with the stylus or turn, twist and shake it for exciting motion-based gameplay! A broad curriculum includes school basics like reading, mathematics and science, plus geography, art, music, language and culture, health and more. Skill levels adjust automatically so kids can learn at their own pace, and progress is remembered from game to game and book to book. LeapPad also hosts a robust suite of creativity apps to nurture kids’ innate curiosity! LeapPad just launched in August and is deemed “sure to be a toy-of-the-year” by the media.
All in all, my party was a blast and now that we have all these items in our home, the girls are having fun playing them all together. It was a joy to get them and to share them!
