Finding activities to keep kids busy during the summer months can be tricky, especially as they get older. The days of blowing bubbles and coloring with sidewalk chalk aren’t completely gone yet for our family (thank goodness…), but I have found that as my kids are quickly leaving the baby and toddler stage behind I have to be a little more intentional about finding things to keep them busy.
We’re usually outside for most of the morning in the summer which gives us lots of time in the afternoon for quieter activities and rest time. Often we pull out coloring books, puzzles, or age appropriate workbooks. So this Marvel Avengers Learn to Draw book came at just the right time!
This learn to draw book gives great step by step instructions for drawing over a dozen of the Marvel Avengers characters. I definitely feel it is advanced for new artists, which can be a little frustrating for younger kids, but there are lots of professional drawing tips that could help develop artistic skills in aspiring animators. 😉
Another fun aspect of the learn to draw book is the colorful bios featuring a list of each characters powers and abilities! So even if the drawing part is a little beyond your child’s current capabilities, there’s a lot of neat information and opportunity to grow into the book as their skills develop. Mostly for my kids right now it’s just fun to try drawing The Hulk or Captain America!
For more advanced artists, and Marvel Avengers fans, this book is an excellent tool for learning to draw favorite characters. The teaching sections on drawing fundamentals, shading and coloring techniques, and drawing basic human features are very informative and easy to follow. Overall, it’s an amazing book from Walter Foster Publishing, perfect for all ages and skill levels.
You can pick up your own copy of Marvel Avengers Learn to Draw on Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, or Target! At less than $20, it’s well worth the quality and fun you’ll enjoy!
