Once upon a time I was a letter writer. I bought stamps by the roll and went through them quickly. But add 4 children to life and technology that keeps us more connected than ever before, and my letter writing slowly but surely dropped off to one or two cards a year. As my children have gotten older, I’ve gotten back into letter writing a little. I started with a goal of writing one letter a month and I’ve stuck with that for the past year or so. But I’d really like to do more and teach my kids to do it. It really is becoming a lost art! I was working with a group of teenagers last summer and most of them didn’t even know how to address a letter!
My older kids know how to write, address, and mail a letter. My little kids have mailed their art to friends before but I never considered using stationary made especially for children until I was introduced to Letter Learning educational stationary for kids. With tons of eye-catching designs to choose from, you can find all kinds of stationary (thank you notes, holiday notes, birthday cards, greeting cards, and party invitations) to fit your needs. Don’t see what you’re looking for? They can create personalized cards just for your child!
Each card is made from thick, quality paper and comes with an envelope. The back of each card is blank so that your child can easily add his or her artwork if they’d like. As you can see here, each card has a message written in easy-to-trace lines. My 3 year old (who recognizes some letters but can’t read or spell) was extremely proud of her work on the flat note birthday card and couldn’t wait to mail it to her aunt. My 5 year old used a folded note with traceable letters on the front and guide lines (like you’d find on traditional children’s writing paper) on the inside. He loved that he could write a letter to his uncle using any words he wanted.
