Before my son was even born, I began to grow his library. Books are very important to me, and I wanted to instill the same love of reading in my new little man! I wanted books to expand his mind, allow his imagination to wander to far off lands, to enrich his life and shape his personality. Books do so much more than just cause a child to “learn,” they open up a whole new world!
When we first got the Babsy B Board Book Series, my (now-two-year-old) son was immediately captivated. He has spent hours combing through each page and enjoying all the stimulating pictures. As an adult, they seemed a little “simple” to me, but not to him! I love watching his eyes peruse each page in wonder and see his excitement as he points out all the objects.
Each book in the series is designed with your child’s age in mind. They will GROW with your child! “The Babsy B Board Book Series encourages curiosity, builds vocabulary and knowledge of the world, and helps support children’s oral language development.” What I love about these books is that they are interactive. As a parent, you are able to get involved with each book and make the pages come alive for you child! Babsy B also gives you great resources/ideas for furthering your child’s development on the back of each book.
Don’t let the “age” listed on the book deter you from getting the whole series. As I mentioned above, my son is 2 years old and he loves them ALL. The simple “age 0+” books are some of his favorites 🙂
Babsy B also offers cute poem books. Don’t Go Out in Your Undetwear has short, fun poems for you child to read through. My son is a little too young to enjoy all the poems, but I had a good chuckle at several of them while reading them out loud to my son. Even though he may not understand everything I am saying, reading him books beyond his “level” helps expand his knowledge of the human language.
Overall, I would recommend these book by Babsy B 🙂
