Are you looking for something educational that your child, aged approximately 2-6, to do online? I know that my kids are constantly asking about what they can do online. It’s pretty limited if you ask me. I don’t want them doing just anything! I have a great site that is not only super educational, but super fun too! ABCMouse.com is my 4-year old daughter’s game of choice right now. She is always asking, “Mom, can I play ABCMouse.com?”
ABCmouse.com offers a full online preschool – kindergarten curriculum, containing over 3,000 learning activities in the subjects of Reading, Math, Beginning Science, Social Studies, Art, and Music. Our goal is to make learning fun for children, while giving them a head start so that they are successful in all future years of schooling.
It is something she is totally capable of navigating on her own, and it’s something fun that her and I can do together as well. There are fun activities like coloring, games and songs…but there are also lessons! I like to push her in that direction. 🙂 As you move up in the lessons, you earn “credits” and can redeem those credits for items on the site.
The online site covers all subject matters and has lots of creativity outlets for your little ones. I think that ABCMouse.com is pretty fantastic. Once logging in and signing up for an account, it gives you the opportunity to take a 5 minute tutorial, highly recommend as there are a lot of facets to this site. Not saying the site is complicated by any means, but why not get the biggest bang for you buck and know what your investment can do you for you completely! Upon logging in, you get to pick your teacher and your child’s online “person”. This is fun to do with your child. They can get creative and start from scratch, or pick out an already made character. We opted for the latter just to save time 🙂 Once you are done there, you can pick out your class pets and then you are on to selecting your child’s academic level.
You can have UP TO three children on your account. It basically goes up to age 6ish, Kindergarten. There is a Parents home page you can visit as well to learn more!
All in all – dive in, take the plunge! You and your kids will LOVE this!

They moved back home with me last year, and I have been working with Carter on learning to write and get ready for preschool next year! I love that they have printables with the tracing numbers and letters, and the dot to dots would be great for learning hand coordination! I think this whole program looks so neat! I have a 2 and 3 year old that LOVE to learn new things. We’ve recently moved and won’t have internet until tomorrow (using work internet right now….shhhh 🙂 ), so I’ve been anxious for internet so I could explore their 30 day free trial they have going on right now. After researching the site, I think there are SO many cool things going on. I love the fact that there are different levels and what seems like would be an unlimited amount of lessons. It’s unlikely to repeat lessons over and over. I’m so excited about this and hope that I win. But if I don’t I will DEFINITELY be purchasing a subscription! Thanks for the review!!!
