Have you ever had to deal with head lice? Thankfully my kids have avoided that particular bag-of-fun so far, but that hasn’t been without a little proactive help on my part.
We have been using Fairy Tales Hair Care‘s Rosemary Repel line since I first shared them with our readers over a year ago (see my previous review here). They just came out with a new formulation for their Rosemary Repel line that is nut-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and gluten-free for families with sensitivities to these allergens while still staying 92% effective at repelling and preventing head lice!
I’m very excited to say that we got to try out all the products with the new formulation. After using the Rosemary Repel Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair Spray, Styling Gel, and Conditioning Spray, I can honestly say I couldn’t tell a difference between the old formulation and the new. Sill effective, still using the ingredients I trusted, but now free of many common allergens. WooHoo!
If you are thinking that just because your kiddo isn’t in school yet that you don’t have to worry about head lice prevention, think again. Do they go to daycare? Have friends with school-aged older siblings? Have hair? Go to the kiddie area while you workout at the gym? Go to Sunday school? The list goes on!
Now, I have a confession. We use the Rosemary Repel line most regularly in the summer months. While it hasn’t been tested for effectiveness on anything other than head lice, I have found that the Rosemary Repel line is a great way for me to help keep the bugs out of the girls’ hair when playing outside.
If you too would like to avoid the ‘bag-of-fun’ that is kids with head lice I highly recommend checking out the Fairy Tales Hair Care Rosemary Repel line for your kids. They smell delicious (like rosemary), are that much closer to staying head lice -free, and there is a great selection of products to chose from.

April 25, 2013 at 12:20 pmI have been using the Fairy Tales products for years (shampoo, detangling spray *our favorite since they have very curly hair* and bug repellant), and just recently there was an outbreak in my daughter’s pre-school. Knock wood, so far the little critters have stayed away from her scalp and I hope to keep it that way!!!
