I’m not sure where they keep all this food but you have to get creative on what you feed them and how often. Seems like it’s 6 times a day these days. With 3 meals and 3 snacks, these kids should be all set.
Lifeway contacted me about their new Oat Kefir. The 1.5 grams of soluble oat powder packs the nutritional punch of oatmeal – without the cooking. With a smooth texture and a hint of oat flavor plus 11 grams of complete protein, this “oat kefir” offers a choice of breakfast-friendly Blueberry Maple, Cinnamon Apple, and Vanilla Plum flavors for a complete on-the-go breakfast or a great midday pick-me-up. It is available in 8oz individual bottles and four-packs.
We got to try the Cinnamon Apple. I keep it handy and in child’s reach in the fridge. It has been the perfect morning snack for my kiddos. I love the boost of protein mid morning for them. It keep them going until lunch. Mom and dad have been known to sneak one out of the fridge too. This is a great grab on the go breakfast for me the mornings I work and in a hurry.
Now, let’s talk about the taste. You recall I said it was a smooth texture, right? Yeah, it’s smooth, even with oats in it. My first thought was there was no way my kids will drink this if it is chucky and full of texture. Forget them…I wouldn’t either. I was happy to find out that it was smooth and easy to drink. We love it.
We can’t wait to try the other flavors.
Which flavors would you and your kids like?
