KIDS ‘N’ PETS brand cleaning products are cruelty free, non-toxic, environmentally friendly and biodegradable. Which means they are a perfect addition to our Earth Day event.
I decided to try the laundry spray on a variety of food stains: 1. strawberry juice, blackberry jam, chocolate, mustard, ketchup and pizza sauce. 2. After making my pretty drawings (I was enjoying myself), I rinsed the cloth in water to get off the solids, then saturated the cloth with the laundry spray, and 3. let it sit for about an hour (trippy that it turned the mustard spot orange!!). Then I then put it in the wash to soak in water overnight. 4. After washing, the mustard stain is clearly still there, and the ketchup stain has a VERY faint tinge to it. The rest are gone completely. I think if I had done a second treatment before I ran the dryer, the mustard probably would have come out.
I also tested the laundry spray on a oil stain on a favorite tank top. As soon as it happened, I treated the stain… but alas, it didn’t come out. Oil stains are the WORST!
I also tested the KIDS ‘N’ PETS carpet cleaner on a carpet sample from the hardware store: 1. coffee; 2. coffee grounds (why? because they were within arm’s reach.), 3. impromptu ketchup and mustard Earth Day pop art (I *may* have been drinking beer while doing this test…); 4. a rubbed-in mess; 5. wiped up with just water and vacuumed coffee grounds; 6. after first treatment with carpet cleaner, which I let sit for about an hour; 7. after second treatment with carpet cleaner, which I let sit overnight.
You can still see traces of mustard in picture #6, but in picture #7 after the second treatment, there’s no trace of stains! Sweeeeet! This one is a definite winner! It also leaves behind a nice orange-citrusy scent. Pleasant.

I need this great product…kids and eight dogs including three rescues means I’m always cleaning up something and always worrying about what kind of cleaners I use on the floor…love that these are so completely safe that a child can drink it accidentally without worry.
