Do you ever wonder if the “as seen on TV” items your kids beg you for are any good? We were given the chance to try out Lumi Dough and it was a big hit. The kids had fun making their molded creations and then they would rush to our dark bathroom where I could hear them giggle together as they watched their creations light up. They would re-create new objects and do it all over again and again. As I tucked them in to their beds the other night, I saw their walls were lit up with lumi dough. I was totally fine with it because it peeled right off without a mess. Of course I let them keep it up for a few days too.

We just had our first day of summer vacation. It was honest to goodness too hot to go outside and play today (100+ in CA), but we were okay inside with our Lumi Dough. I’m always happy to find an affordable inside activity to keep the kids engaged and unplugged as much as possible. Don’t let Pinterest leave you feeling like you are failing at motherhood because you don’t have a craft planned for all 77 days of summer break. Let’s just be real for one hot summer second…I might pin how to make my own scented, rainbow, edible, gluten free play dough; but it’s never going to happen in my house.
