I am in the process of weaning my little one, but am still nursing him some. We are expecting again (Yay!) in November, so I will be back in the search for nursing clothes then too! I have found a few brands I really like for nursing clothes, and I have definitely come across several that just don’t seem to fit right or don’t really accommodate nursing like I thought they would. Also, when you first give birth, who really has time to go shopping for nursing clothes?
Along comes Mama’s Milkbox, a subscription clothing box specifically for nursing moms! I love this idea! This would be such a fun thing to order and receive in those first few months when nothing fits quite right and you are nursing around the clock it seems.
My Milkbox came with a beautiful variety of clothes ranging from $46-$99 for shirts and dresses. I love the choices that my stylist picked out for me based on a short survey and a quick phone chat. Since I was down to a morning and evening feeding, I was looking for comfortable clothes for around the house. My stylist sent me a variety from sweatshirts, to nursing tanks, to dresses and cute tops. Some of the brands included were Lab 40 and Boob nursing clothes.
Here are a few of best parts of this service for me:
1. Great variety of brands and styles. I love that I had the option to try on a dress, sweatshirt, tanks, and several adorable tops. The sizing was really great too based on the information I gave her. I also loved that I had a few maternity/nursing options that I will be able to continue to wear throughout my pregnancy.
2. These clothes are really accommodating for nursing. One shirt had hidden zippers, while several had a lift up flap. I love that most of the shirts didn’t look any different than a regular shirt, but had an easy and discreet way to nurse.
3. You don’t even have to leave your house to shop. This service is awesome because it gives you the chance to try on many items without leaving home, with the option of returning what you don’t like and what doesn’t fit!
A Milkbox is $39 per box. When you receive your box, you will be charged for what you decide to keep, minus the $39 credit.
I am so glad I came across Mama’s Milkbox! It is a wonderful idea, and comes with amazing service meant to meet the needs of nursing moms.
The first SIMPLE reader, who is a resident of Michigan, to sign up for a Milkbox, will receive a $10 credit toward items from their first box.
