It’s shorts weather. Finally! Yet, every year this rolls around and I think about how pale and mushy my legs are after the long, LONG winter months. Ha! I’ve had a few summers under my belt now and I’ve figured out what I like and what I don’t like on my legs in the warm months. I’ve attempted to conquer my fears of worrying about what others might think about how I look. I own it now and try to love it every time! What an improvement, yah? 🙂

I shared with you a bit ago my little ladies crushing some fabulous outfits from Matilda Jane. I not only LURV Matilda Jane on my girls, but I love it on myself as well. I have about 4-5 dresses too! The brand is so colorful, fun and predictable in sizes. So…with that in mind, I wanted to share with you some shorts I received from one of their newer released lines.

My secret to successfully wearing shorts these days is to watch the length. Goodness, the length of shorts these days makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Where is the humility lol!! I am definitely more of a conservative dresser, so these shorts are right up my alley. A little longer than most you can find in the stores right now. They have a great flow and fun pockets. I like detailing on shorts, a fun touch.

Not only are they a perfect length for my legs (I like approximately 5″ shorts), but I love the color. Chambray is such a fun color, and I can’t forsee it going out of style any time soon.

When all else fails, grab some great capris and skip the shorts. Ha!

However, I do want to challenge you though. Go to the store, kidless, and grab a TON of shorts. Try them all on. Forget the size number on the shorts, and buy what looks good on you. Figure out what looks best on YOU. Not what you think looks good and what others will think looks good. Go with YOUR gut and grab those shorts.
