The 4th of July is over and back to reality!  Our 4th of July was extra special this year because we had a fun “gymnastics” themed party to help celebrate Independence day!  We brought my daughters’ extra leotards, made “gymnastic mats” out of towels and hosted a backyard barbeque gymnastics party!  Following the barbeque, the tumbling and the fun, we had an in home screening! With it being SO hot, it was perfect to have the screening in home as well because the kids were just looking for some reasons to get out of the heat.

We had an opportunity to get a copy of the newest American Girl Movie, An American Girl: McKenna Shoots for the Stars.  I have to tell you, I was expecting cheesy and I thoroughly enjoyed this move.  My kids loved it too.

There are many lessons learned in this video.  Lessons from accepting others…to listening to your parents…to getting too grades in school…overcoming fears…and making new friends.  Pretty much covers a ton of what we want our kids to do, doesn’t it? 🙂 This is an all around GREAT movie for young girls like mine!

Lilianna’s question for Adalynn as soon as the credits started to roll at the end… “Do you want to watch it again Adalynn?”  And they did.
