I threw the easiest baby shower last week. It was such an enjoyable experience from the planning side of things. While I’m all about pinning and throwing the most amazing shower (you know, the ones where Pinterest threw up everywhere –hehehe), I had a really busy month.  Minted.com came to my rescue. They have a whole section of Party Décor items. The hardest part was deciding which theme to use….they are all SO cute!

THEME

I picked the Oh Boy Party Décor for our theme. I adore the free address assistant, which meant minimal work getting the invitations to our guests. Snail mail is still cool, especially when the envelopes are this cute!

DECOR

I am not a crafty person in the least. Avoiding hours of trying to execute Pinterest inspired decorations was music to my ears. My favorite piece of décor was the gigantic personalized banner we strung across the entire room. I used pregnancy photos on some of the pennants, starting with her announcement. Not only was it a really special touch, the mom-to-be took it home to add to her nursery. The centerpiece for the table was personalized as well. Other details were the matching cupcake flags, stickers we put on plates, paper confetti, and a banner to brighten up the background where she opened her gifts.

SHOWER DAY

It took my friend and I less then an hour to decorate. That included time to string the banner and paper circles, top the cupcakes (recipe HERE) with flags, put stickers on plates and cups, and dress up the tables with the centerpiece and confetti circles.

I enlisted the lovely ladies at our church to bring brunch items. I made the cupcakes the day before. The more you can do ahead of time the better. Many thanks to Minted.com for sponsoring this shower! We were blessed to have such lovely décor and invitations.
