You know that one thing that you know you don’t need another one but if you find one that you like, you absolutely cannot resist buying it? Yeah. That’s me with bags. I have bags full of bags. I have boxes full of bags. I have bags in my car and hanging by the backdoor and in my closet and in my kid’s closets and by my bed. I have a bag for school work, a bag for church, a computer bag, grocery bags, beach bags, diaper bags, camera bags, gift bags, canvas bags, vinyl bags, even a giant “busy bag” that holds 4 smaller “busy bags” to keep my children occupied when we’re out and about or waiting. It’s almost absurd how many bags I have. (Almost. But not quite.)
Because I’m really hard on my bags, I have to be picky about the kinds of bags I use. They have to be made of a sturdy material that won’t tear or break easily. Bonus points if I can wipe it clean with a wet wipe. It has to have some structure to either the sides or bottom so that it doesn’t flop over when I set it down. It’s got to be big enough to hold all of my things but not so big that it’s too heavy to carry when it’s full. (Because I’m going to fill it to the brim no matter how big or small it may be). I’m a little bit like Goldilocks, I suppose, and the bags from Mixed Bag Designs are juuuust right. They’ve been my go-to bags from the moment they arrived. The large carry-all tote can hold all of our dairy and produce items from the market (and that’s a lot of stuff)! And it can also handle all of our school supplies for a day on those days when we want to do our schoolwork at the park. It has plenty of large pockets to hold our pencils and paper and markers and a few extra diapers and wipes.
The large zip tote isn’t quite as large and only has one pocket, but it can hold a lot of stuff, too! We went to a major league baseball game this weekend and I stocked the bag with all of my necessities, all of the baby’s necessities, as well as snacks and ponchos for the whole crew. Thankfully, we didn’t end up needing those ponchos, but the ground was wet and we sat through a little mist for a short while. We also spilled a drink but nothing in the bag ever got wet!
Another great thing about Mixed Bags Designs is that they offer a school fund raising program. Who needs more cookies or wrapping paper when you could get stylish, durable bags? They even offer online fund raisers so that family and friends who don’t live close by can also support your child’s school!
