I remember one day as I was putting my son into the car, I was busy maneuvering an arm full of baby paraphernalia with my son safely secured in my other arm. After finally wresting the diaper bag and whatever else a new mom tries to bring with her to the store, I looked down and my son had my necklace in his mouth. Of course I immediately took it away from him and looked sadly at the saliva filled locket… yep… that JUST happened.
I’m sure every mom can relate to this, so when I was given the opportunity to review Chewbeads I was super excited. I remember thinking what an awesome idea it was to have a necklace that a baby could chew on safely AND help relieve the discomforts of teething. Why didn’t I think of this!?
Chewbeads definitely lived up to my expectations! The jewelry is both stylish and wonderful for my son. Whenever I am wearing my bracelets or necklaces (which is VERY often), my son is reaching for them. The 100% silicone is soothing for his sore gums, and since they do not contain BPA, phthalate, lead, cadmium or metal I know they are safe for him.
How can these get any better? They are dishwasher safe!! Easy cleaning is a bonus in my book 🙂
When I was perusing the selection online, my husband was not exactly interested in the necklaces or bracelets. He appropriately said, “that looks nice” whenever I showed him a new style I had fallen in love with, but when I started showing him their MBL Game Day collection, his interested perked up a little. He actually got super excited for our son to have a teether that supported the Tigers. Go Tigers!
Chewbeads would make a wonderful gift for an expectant mother or a mother of any child going through the “chew on everything” stage. With Chewbeads, children can safely and stylishly chew on your jewelry and also support your favorite MLB team… what’s not to love about that!?!

January 10, 2014 at 3:45 pmThose necklaces are pretty cute! I don’t know about teething so much as I like having jewelry that my baby can diddle with and pull without fear of them breaking it (or hurting themselves!) My son is 2 1/2, and he still pulls at my necklaces too hard!
