mrs. freshley’s no-bake thanksgiving treats :: 2 easy recipes

Are you ready for Turkey Day? Do you need a last minute idea that is cute and easy? Mrs. Freshley’s is here for us! I love their “recipes” because it’s often a project I can include the kids in. HERE are some recipes we have made this past year around the holidays.

Tturkey popsurkey Pops

Ingredients:
  • 3-4 packs of Mrs. Freshley’s Chocolate Icers
  • Chocolate icing
  • Piping bag with orange and red icing
  • Chocolate melts
  • Candy eyes
  • Candy Corn
  • Cake Pop Sticks
Directions:
  1. Tear about Mrs. Freshley’s Chocolate Icers cakes and roll to form into a ball shape for the cake pop.
  2. Use chocolate icing to help form cake pops if needed
  3. Place on cake pop sticks
  4. Melt candy melts, according to package directions
  5. Dip cake pops into melted candy melts
  6. Place in freezer until cool and dry
  7. Using chocolate icing as glue, stick candy corn into the top of the cake pop to create feathers
  8. Place on the candy eyes
  9. Use the piping bag to draw the beak and gobbler

caramel apple shootersCaramel Apple Shooters

Ingredients: 
  • 3 packs of Mrs. Freshley’s Vanilla Icers
  • 3 medium Granny Smith apples
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Whipped cream
  • Caramel topping
Directions:
  1. Peel and dice the apples into bite sized pieces
  2. Add the apples, butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon to a medium skillet and cook, stirring often to coat the apples in the sauce, for 5 minutes over medium low heat
  3. Remove from heat and cool a bit before assembling the dessert.
  4. Add a generous layer of the bite sized vanilla Icers to the bottom of the bowl and top with cinnamon apples
  5. Layer with whipped cream and caramel sauce
