new father gift idea :: make him feel special too

We all think of mom when it comes to babies and the birthing process. Mostly because the female is the one to carry the baby and have the most experience with baby at that time.  We can not forget to think dad’s when it comes to baby being born as well. After all, it really couldn’t have been done without him, right?

I know when I was going thru the process two times prior to this…I thought it’s all about me!  I’m the one that has to do this. Then I stop to think, I couldn’t have been done without my significant other, so he has just as much to celebrate as I do.

I wanted to share with you a fun idea about celebrating Dad when baby is born.  There is so much attention on Moms, we tend to forget Dad with all the excitement going on. Which is understandable, but we can not over look that he just became a Dad for the first time or 2nd or 3rd.  They have just as much to celebrate as moms do.

Creating a special gift for Dad will make him feel just as special when baby has arrived.  Why not put together a bag filled with goodies that they will love?  Seems great, right?

What you will want to do is get a manly diaper bag, that’s a great idea isn’t it?  A diaper bag that he is willing to carry around when he is alone with baby. You know he won’t be excited about carrying around a feminine diaper bag, I know mine wouldn’t be too excited about that.  By the way, this is the perfect gift I am going to give my significant other in December when baby is born.

Now that you have found the perfect bag to add all the goodies too, you have to figure out what type of goodies your going to put in the bag.  The items I chose are not for baby, they are for Dad. They are things he likes and things he will use. If you are going to be giving a gift like this, and you know the person, it will be easy to figure out what to put in it. Things I chose so you have an idea would be favorite drinks, favorite snack, clothing item, and Havana Honeys to celebrate the day of.  These are natural leaf cigars that are a great way for the dad to celebrate with the men in the family.

A “new dad” gift bag is the perfect way to show him that you care and involve him in the celebration.  Go ahead don’t be afraid to give a gift to the man you love to celebrate your new baby. Or someone you know. They will love it and cherish it.
