While you can’t put a price tag on the safety of your children’s health, it’s nice to know you can find budget friendly sunscreen to protect your baby’s skin. For anyone that is reading our blog for the first time, I talk a lot about skin cancer. I’ve had melanoma and basal cell skin cancer and I’m the ripe old age of 35. It only takes one bad burn as a kid to become a skin cancer statistic. My parents were so vigilant about sunscreen, but during my teen years I didn’t protect my skin. All so I could be a darker shade of white. Seems so silly on this side of it. Now I wear rashguards and hats for myself and practice lots of safe sun practices for the kids too.
Here are some sunscreen tips:
I like the entire line of NO-AD sunscreen. It’s a thinner formula that glides on easily. It’s great for sensitive skin as well. Don’t worry about paraben or retinyl palmitate either, it’s not in NO-AD sunscreen! There is no fragrance or dye in the baby products. NO-AD is hypoallergenic and enriched with cocoa seed butter and vitamins.
The stick form of sunscreen is great for under the kids eyes. It seems to stay on better when they wipe their faces when they are swimming. Less chance of their eyes burning from sunscreen as well. The stick is made out of organic beeswax which allows the stick to apply smoothly. It doesn’t stick and drag on delicate baby skin.
Have you heard the recent studies that not all sunscreen’s are as good as they say? Way to go NO-AD for meeting AAD (American Academy of Dermatology) guidelines: SPF 30, water resistance and broad spectrum!!
NO-AD is able to keep their prices lower then other brands because they don’t buy expensive TV, magazine, or radio ads. You can expect to see these prices in your local stores:
NO-AD Baby Sun Care Lotion SPF50
13 oz. MSRP $8.99
NO-AD Baby Sun Care Stick SPF50
0.65 oz. MSRP $4.99
Just a friendly reminder…be sure to reapply sunscreen every 80 minutes when you are in the sun. I set a timer on my phone and we know the “sunscreen” ringer when it goes off. I have to laugh that I have turned into my mother and I’m now the sunscreen Nazi, but my kids have seen my scars and they are actually very willing to get a new coat of sunscreen.

July 15, 2016 at 9:30 amI love the NO-AD Baby Sunscreen Stick!!! It’s the only sunscreen stick I can quickly apply to the baby’s & my 4 year old’s face without pulling and dragging their little faces. The stick distributes so quickly & evenly. I can see it where I applied it without any white residue and spread it with my fingers fast on the go. It smells so natural too and my little ones never had one irritation to this product. A HUGE PLUS! And yes, it fits in my purse, so when we are rushing in the morning (I’m a working mom), I can quickly apply in the car, before taking them into daycare. I love products that make my life easier!! Thank you, NO-AD!!
