The thought of putting on a tank top right now is only preceded with what cardigan will go over top of it. We are getting a heat streak here in Michigan, where we will reach 30 degrees this weekend! Oh yah!! Even with these conditions, it still won’t stop me from thinking happy thoughts of when we can wear tank tops and shorts again. In this post today, I’m going to share some items that you can wear in warm temperatures AND cold temperatures…with the help of layering.
First, I want to introduce you to My Southern Rags. They are a sweet little shop with some nice and exclusive items. The quality I have seen in the items that I received is great. The seams are good, the fabric is great and even though my girls have only worn the dresses a handful of times, there are no signs of wear and tear on the garments.
My 4.5 year old received the gorgeous TwinkleToes dress shown below. As you can see, it is great for the warmer months, but how did I change it up so she can wear it now? Cute, frilly cardigan over top. That, and the boots of her choice. My little diva loves frills and boots…she has lots of boots lol! I can’t wait to see her tan little arms and body sporting this dress this summer. She loves it already!
My 2.5 year old received this little chevron, colorful dress – the Dandelion dress. It’s a spinner…and she’s been a spinning away in this a few times now! To make this adorable dress work for these cold months, we have added some basic grey tights as well as a frilly, double-layered sleeved shirt for underneath. Not too many layers, but perfect for her! They compliment each other great. And again, we have boots 😉
These are obviously not items you can pick up at your local mall. The color and fabric combinations and quality is far above that. That being said, I consider the prices from My Southern Rags to be very reasonable. After all, if you were to shop at a boutique on the street, you would pay much more for the same item!
