old school becomes new school with the many adventures of winnie the pooh :: review

There is something both comforting and encouraging about watching something with my kiddos that I watched myself when I was a child. I have viewed many shows with my little ones that have a positive message, shows that help teach things that I have been striving to teach, shows that make my kids laugh and learn at the same time. I can relate to many of them in their own way but Winnie the Pooh is one that goes back to my own childhood beginnings and strikes such a chord that I cannot help but be as interested as my kids are. Memories are a powerful thing and from the minute we started watching this DVD I was transported back to my own childhood when I discovered Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh for the first time.

Winnie the Pooh and his friends, including Piglet, Rabbit, Eeyore, Roo, and of course Tigger, embark on many adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood and have so much fun that I found myself smiling with my little ones as they laughed along with all of my favorite childhood characters. The best part of this DVD is that there are so many extras that I discovered new adventures along with my kiddos and we all had fun in the process. One of Disney’s newest features is a bonus intermission that pops up when you press “pause” on the main attraction and allows your kids to have some “play-along” fun with Pooh and his friends.
