omg nail strips :: review

I remember my first manicure. Sitting in the chair, soaking my hands and picking out my color. Not that long ago, that’s all it really was. It was fun, but something I felt that I could pretty much do myself. Now there are so many choices of color, style and fancy design. No way could I do that–for myself or my daughter. Plus adding up the cost of fancy nails just doesn’t work for my budget. OMGNailStrips are striving to be the solution to the problem of expensive manicures while still offering plenty of color and design choices–all so affordable it’s easy to keep your nails looking great.

OMGNailStrips are nail stickers that are fairly easy to apply and can last up to 10 days. Application involves soaking your hands to soften cuticles, pushing back cuticles, applying stickers and cutting to size, filing and applying a top coat.

I decided to use the nail stickers on my daughter. She is a nail biter and I have promised her that I will take her for a manicure when she stops biting her nails. But she has not stopped. So I decided to do a home manicure using the OMG stickers in the hopes that seeing her cute nails will keep them out of her mouth. So far it has worked! I’ll keep you posted on if it continues to work. Using the stickers on a child was a bit more difficult because her nails are narrower than the stickers. However, I just cut to size and was able to get them to fit. It took a bit of trial and error to get it right, but now she is getting tons of compliments on her fun nails!
