As a mom, you know that traveling with little ones can be challenging. Graco gets that, which is why they have created gear to help ease the travel stress.  We took a trip this summer and drove all the way to Florida from Michigan.  Yup, that’s a long road trip for little ones.  We always try to make it comfortable and safe for the kids when we do this. We had Graco to help us out with this.

We always travel during the night so the kids are sleeping.  With one still in an infant carrier and one still in a booster seat. We were very excited to try out the Graco Extend2Fit™ 3-in-1 Car Seat, because this car seat is a 3 seats in 1, for rear-facing infants 4-50 lb., forward-facing toddlers 22-65 lb. and big kids 30-100 lb.

In addition to meeting or exceeding all applicable US safety standards, the Extend2Fit™ convertible car seat has been side impact tested for occupant retention solely with the built-in 5-point harness system.  That’s pretty amazing knowing it meets all the safety standards that are required. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends children ride rear-facing until at least 2 years of age. So therefore, Extend2Fit™ features a 3-position extension panel that provides 5” of extra legroom allowing your child to ride safely rear-facing longer.

The seat features Simply Safe™ Adjust which allows you to adjust the height of the harness and headrest as your child grows, InRight™ LATCH for a one-second LATCH attachment and Fuss Free harness storage which holds the buckle out of the way, so it’s easy to get baby in and out.  This is huge when you have a sleeping baby or a fussy baby!

I also love that it is easy to use. I was really nervous about using it because I thought it was going to be difficult to figure out.  But lo and behold, you can read the directions and actually understand what they are talking about.  I read them through and through before I started messing with the car seat.  It made it so much easier to adjust and put in the car. Plus, as you can see in the picture above there are easy to read directions right ON the car seat as well. I love when it’s clear and easy to follow.

My 10 month old loves this seat more so then the infant seat. She sits up a little higher and can see out the window so she loves that.  There is plenty of room for her in it. I also love that it was easy to install and easy to put her in it. The strap was very easy to tighten, so I did not have to worry about getting it tight enough for her to be safe.

What I love most about this car seat is that, it’s a one and done car seat!  Meaning, you only have to buy one car seat for your child because it goes from 4-100lbs with this one car seat!  I love that it grows with your child and you are not having to buy a total of 3 car seats. This is an all in one.

What is your favorite feature about the 3 in 1 car seat?

This picture below is to show you that a 6 year old can still be in a 5 point harness and be comfortable! She keeps insisting she needs one of these for herself. It’s so comfy mom!, she says.

Man car seats have come such a long way haven’t they? I like that manufacturers are thinking it through so carefully and coming up with innovations that make sense. I really like that you only have to purchase one seat this way.
