My children were out on the golf cart Father’s Day and brought home a surprise. At first we tried to find his home, but no one would claim him. I even went door to door in the area where they picked him up, but no one knew who he belonged to. One gentleman told me he had seen him further down the road wondering by himself. I ended up bringing him back home because I didn’t have the heart to just leave him. My ten-year old daughter has a huge heart for animals and can’t stand the thought of anything bad happening to them. Oreo as we have decided to call him was only 4 weeks old, and he wouldn’t have survived on his own. So we have adopted him into our family.
We were planning on going camping the following weekend so I got him litter box trained to take him on our trip. He was too young to stay home by himself. I have never seen a cat that was so adaptable to his environment. It was like he was meant to be a part of our family. With three children constantly fighting for his attention
, Oreo just goes with the flow.
Oreo even comes to class with the kids. He has his own pillows to lay on and free roam of the house. Surprisingly he usually chooses to stay close to the kids. He allows them to wag him around everywhere. Good thing we found him when he was so little.
Even my husband has taken to him, and he doesn’t like cats. How could you not like such a cute little baby? He has been such a blessing to our family.
Would you have kept this kitten if your children brought him home?

September 14, 2020 at 1:24 amOreo is SO CUTE!! I love him from afar. 🙂 Yes, I totally would have kept if I had found him. In fact, I did just that last September…TWICE! Two kittens found their way to my back door, then front door, about three weeks apart. And now I have two beautiful cats, both just a little over a year old. Congrats on your new addition! Have fun with him!
