ovo two-in-one steam iron :: great for ruffles, details on children’s clothing, travel, and more :: giveaway

disclaimer giveaway

In the spirit of household goals, reducing clutter, and being more efficient in our homes, this post has a Marie Kondo vibe. I enjoy household tools that make my job easier and bring me joy. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the best at keeping our clothing crisply ironed. My husband is a very meticulous man when it comes to his ironing skills. I am always appreciative when he notices the boy’s Sunday shirts and irons them before I get to it. Girls clothing is a whole other level with ruffles, ribbons, and tiny details. I was very happy to discover a new tool for keeping our clothing looking great.

Ovo Two-in-One steam iron

One of my favorite fashion bloggers is Laura Godfrey. She had a tip in her stories just last week about using a steamer instead of an iron on her baby and little girl clothing items. She is a genius! It works so much better. My fingers are thanking me too. I always get burned by the tip of my iron as I’m trying to get under a ruffle or touch the hot fabric.
steamer or iron
The Ovo Two-in-One steam iron works as a steamer when you push the button on the top and then hold it upright. It’s also a handy little iron for the final presses that you might not get with the steamer feature. The storage bag doubles as a heat resistant pad to rest the iron on. This was very helpful because it didn’t stand very well on it’s own due to being so lightweight.

More to know about OVO:

  • Weighs only 24 ounces and measures 4” x 7” (about the size of an ostrich egg, hence its name Ovo, Italian for “egg”).
  • Features an electronic steam pump, ceramic soleplate, vertical stand, easy-fill water reservoir and comfortable grip.
  • This mini-multitasker travels light and comes with a unique 2-in-1 case that works both as a heat-resistant press pad and travel pouch.
  • The patent-pending heating system delivers impressive steam volume, with a powerful water tank that can give continuous steam for up to 10 minutes- all in the palm of your hand.
  • Ready for use in 60 seconds or less, the product also includes a power indicator light that stops flashing when steam and heat are ready for your clothes.

If you are working on simplifying your life, I would certainly recommend this Two-in-One steam iron. You will save yourself time by being able to switch between steaming and ironing. Your family will look very sharp with all their finely ironed ruffles and perfectly pressed shirts as well. This ironing wonder would be great for travelling too. I’m not ready to ditch my main iron at home, but I’m certainly glad to have this handy ironing tool. It’s for sure going to be a travel must-have.

The Ovo is available for purchase on their website, as well as other retailers such as Amazon (affiliate link), Bed Bath & Beyond, and Wayfair.

My fridge shelves were a mess. Everything gets pushed back and forgotten. I can’t find anything quickly. I’m constantly wasting food. So, I bought plastic shoe boxes with lids to organize my middle shelf (and some of the bottom shelf). I have one just for shredded cheeses (that’s how many I have). One for my deli meats, bacon, pepperoni, and other foods. One for my sweetie’s meats, cheese and snacks (he eats turkey products). Another one for cream cheese, butter, special cheeses, and diet foods. You would not believe how spacious the fridge looks now.

The best tip I have, I got from my aunt many years ago. She said “what makes a mess is when things aren’t in their place.” It’s so true. If everything is where it belongs, it’s tidy. And if you dont have a place for it, maybe you dont need it.

    January 31, 2019 at 11:28 pm

This is kind of general as a tip, but I have had to learn to use ALL the space available to me to organize small spaces. For me, one of the best ways to do that is use vertical spaces! I have a couple of those bars that are meant for pots and pans in a kitchen, and I do use them for those things, but I also have used them to hang laundry baskets, recycling bins, tools, other baskets or bins for organizing, etc. My other HUGE sanity saver has been to put a shower curtain rod INSIDE the shower stall, then to use S-hooks to hang baskets that hold shampoos, conditioners, body washes, loofahs, shaving supplies, and other shower products. I appreciate its convenience every single day!
