You’ve seen it all over social media. Those crazy cool silver lunch boxes that are all the rage. I didn’t fully understand how cool they really were until we had the opportunity to check one out ourselves. We were sent a Rover Planetbox and my oldest daughter was incredibly thrilled with it. Check out her thoughts here…
PlanetBox is the high quality stainless steel lunchbox designed to help pack a well-balanced meal quickly and easily. Part bento box, part TV dinner tray, the segmented containers simplify packing, encourage healthy eating and portion control, reduce waste, and keep food fresh and contained for school, work or on-the-go. PlanetBox is available in three sizes and can be personalized with fun magnets and a range of accessories.
What I’m completely diggin’ about this new Planetbox is the way we are now transforming our lunch time routine. We are no longer using the plastic bags…not only saving money with that, but hopefully becoming more “earth friendly” in our simple way. It’s easy to clean up too, and dishwasher safe!
There are three different styles, we showed the Rover in the video. You can also get the Shuttle or the Launch. So many options in these boxes…click the links so you can research further.
The best part about using a Planetbox in my eyes is the fact that I feel like I am packing healthier options for my kids. I plan better and it turns out that they eat better because of it. It’s so easy to get stuck in a lunch making rut and grabbing the packaged goodies because they are “easy”. It’s more fun now and I feel like I’m helping them develop even better eating habits than they had before. It’s a surprise every day!
So, what do you think? Would you like to get one of these too?

August 22, 2014 at 2:49 amThe rover would be perfect for my son since he likes likes a variety of items in his lunches. He likes to be able to pick and choose and sometimes something looks good in the morning when we make his lunch and when he gets to school,he is not longer in the mood for it. So the more little compartments available in this means more options for him.

August 20, 2014 at 2:10 pmI LOVE the Rover. My girlfriend has one too. It has so many spaces where I can put a little amount of this and that for my grazer. He is going to kindergarten and he doesn’t get a snack (tragedy :)) so this would be a great lunchbox to give him a bunch of different items. Plus I LOVE the treat spot. Not everyone has to use it for a treat but it is the perfect size!
